The London Housing Foundation, which offers grants and provides research services to benefit the homeless, is now offering free expert financial advice for small homelessness agencies.

The LHF, which has distributed millions of pounds to homelessness agencies over the past few years, has been collecting financial data on the sector for some time.

Executive Chairman Don Wood said “This has been a very useful exercise, allowing us to monitor the financial health of the sector.  But we now feel we need to do more than just monitor, and offer some expert financial advice to agencies that might need it.  So, we are offering separate packages of one to one financial advice for smaller organisations who are facing significant financial change such as loss of a contract, or reduced grant revenue – as a result of which they would like some short term intervention by an expert. The LHF will pay for such advice.”
