Asylum Support Appeals Project wins Prestigious London Homelessness Award and £30,000October 15, 2015 12:00 pmThe Asylum Support Appeals Project (ASAP) has won the London Homelessness Awards 2015 in memory of Andy Ludlow. The Tower Hamlets based project works with asylum seekers by protecting their legal rights to food and shelter. The project provides free legal representation to asylum seekers who are destitute. Simon Dow is the chair of the London Housing Foundation, which sponsors the awards along with Shelter, the Mayor of London and London Councils. New LHF funded post grad certificate for senior managersJanuary 26, 2015 12:00 pmLondon South Bank University (LSBU) and the London Housing Foundation (LHF) worked together to develop a new part-time postgraduate certificate for senior managers working in the homelessness and housing sector. LHF granted the School of Business £97,500 to run three cohorts of the course over three years, with the first cohort starting this month. The course aims to provide senior managers and CEOs in the voluntary housing sector with vital organisational and leadership skills in a third sector context.
