In recent years LHF has worked with senior civil servants and provider organisations to run informal meetings to discuss the main issues causing concern in the criminal justice process as it affects people without a secure home. While not always agreeing, this type of forum allows policy makers and service delivery experts to work though problems and find ways to bring about lasting change to benefit people who need our services.
We have also facilitated meetings between politicians of all parties and senior managers from the sector in London and worked with the drafting teams in Whitehall to add value to legislation that it planned.
